Panos Kotsampopoulos received the Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece in 2010. He is finishing his Ph.D. degree at the Electric Power Division of NTUA in the area of Distributed Energy Resources, where he is involved in research projects and serves as a tutor in Power System Analysis courses. He was a guest researcher at the Austrian Institute of Technology AIT (Vienna) in 2012 and 2013 for 5 months. He has participated in several European projects (e.g. ERIGrid, DERri, NobelGrid) and national projects. His research interests include real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulation, distributed generation, ancillary services and education. He is an IEEE student member and member of the technical chamber of Greece.
